We’ve worked in barns, hotels, grand houses, village halls, in the middle of fields, in the middle of woods, in the middle of nowhere, in back gardens, in theatres, at farms, on boats, in bandstands, under canvas, on rooftops, in schools and on fancy lawns. We couldn’t list them all but we have listed some venues below with a little info on how Fleur de Lace do our thing there…
South Farm lives by it’s motto Distinctly Different. So with a little Fleur de Lace popped in there too, couples really do get a unique experience. We love working in each of the different areas, bringing each couple’s personality and style to the venue. We don’t always arrive with a bucket of colour, sometimes it’s simple touches, other times it’s full on themes but most of the time it’s just a little ‘you’. Fleur de Lace also offer a set up service at South Farm where we come and lay everything out for you so you and your wedding party can kick back and relax on on the morning of your wedding.

When the Flowers peep out in Spring to when the autumn leaves start to fall, we LOVE hanging out at the Healthy Living Centre. With weddings in the woods, on the lawn and in the rooms… Fleur de Lace love to come and do our thing. Working Alongside Rebecca and her team, we hang lights, lanterns, supply practical props and add to the natural beauty of the surroundings there.

Furtho Manor Barn….What a barn for Fleur de Lace to do our thing in. We love creating ceilings to make your guest’s jaws drop. Outdoor festoon lights and battery lights for down by the lake, we adorn outside as well as in. Always a lovely visit to Furtho!

What do I love about decorating Morden Hall? …. I used to be in London everyday but now it’s just for “special treats” The Mulberry Room (defo a treat to decorate) has such a glorious big space ceiling that as soon as we get some lights or lanterns up, it looks fun, cheery and super atmospheric. Oh and I also love driving by old haunts (from art school days) south of the river and seeing London’s foxes, they’re so grubby and narly looking compared to the fluffy Farthing Wood looking creatures that dart up here in the counties.
Offley place is right on Hitchin’s doorstep so a perfect venue for us to deliver Props of practicality and prettiness. Our outdoor lawn games are often adorning the lawn. The croquet always keeps guests amused, along with any of the throwing games and others. Often people think it’s children who love the games… kids do like them, but the “big kids” (lurking in us all) never resist. Deckchairs can accompany the games too.
Fleur de Lace has sprinkled a little magic quite a few times at Redcoats. We have all sorts that could help your ceremony whether it’s inside or out. Ceilings of lanterns and our large fairylight backdrop look fab in the large Barn. The Decor in the Cowshed bar is already so cool and contemporary, we do usually add signage, cards crates and small dressing for your “guestbook” table. Fleur de Lace Games look lovely on the lawns, although we usually condense them down so your guests still have room to mingle.

At Milling Barn, we’ve dressed ceremonies in Blunts wood and up in the Dairy Barn. The high beams and ceilings of the main barn make for a fab canvas for lights and lanterns, which can be viewed from the balcony too. I have seen photographers taking great shots of couples dancing under the lanterns and lights. We have done the set up service at Milling Barn and have loaded the van full off all kinds of our practical and pretty props to dress this lovely venue.

Newton Park Barn is such a gorgeous Barn in the most tranquil of grounds. A small lantern rig looks lovely in this space, or in a marquee attached to the barn. The gardens are a fab spot for our games and we have popped a few flamingos down by the lake. Last year our festival flags stood at the turning off the road and up the track to guide the guests to the barn. I love the window sills in the barn too… perfect for some dressing!
Lilah Woods is a woodland lovers to dream to decorate! Fleur de Lace LOVE working at Woodland Weddings. The hours for set up are limited but we are able to get over to the woods and hang lanterns, set props, lay your tables, working within the available hours. Signage is a popular option here and little bits and bobs to add to the inside out feel.
Home to Country Tipis. We love dressing the tipis and Celeste Tent at Vanstone Park. Firstly if you have a really good throw, you could throw a stone to my Nan’s house. Secondly because the space, is awesome. Perfect for the games out on the lawn, the flamingos adding to flocks of geese and ducks and the tents themselves are always a dream to decorate. We have have two suggested ways of hanging decoration, in the tipi hat’s themselves or around the beams. Both effective.

Back in 2007 we had our wedding reception at the Priory! Since then and over the years we have hung lanterns, lighting and dressed it with props and signage. I would love to say I did all this decor back in 2007 but I didn’t but it was Christmastime and looked so magical. The Barn has a fab ceiling and we get up high with the lights and lanterns. The games fit nicely on the lawns and our personalised signage guides your guest through the day.

Eversholt Hall is a fab room to decorate, we have done bright colours and more subtle tones, the main hall isn’t just the only area we have decorated. We have added personal touches following different couples themes in the entrance hallway, up the stairs, on the balcony and outside on the lawns. The lawns at Eversholt are fab for some of our lawns games and flamingos! On a few occasions we have put a backdrop at the back of the hall behind your top table, always looks lovely.
Working in CountryTipi’s tents at Lodge Farm is a dream, on the doorstep of Hitchin within the gardens, it’s always so pretty. The celeste tent is large and spacious. It’s ceilings look amazing with a rig of lanterns and something hanging high between the poles. We have created ceremony backdrops at lodge farm, ceremonies on the lawns there are so beautiful. Our games look fab as addition for your afternoon entertainment.
We love being a recommended supplier at The London Shenley Club. We have dressed both the winter, marquee and the Summer Marquee. We have supplied props too, both practical and pretty. We can stay to set them up or simply deliver and collect. Lanterns on the ceiling in both marquees look really fab. We have adorned the lawn with our games before.

At Tewinbury we have worked in the Tythe Barn and The Stables, with beautiful ceiling rigs. Both Gorgeous old barns with lots of hooks & nooks to create a canopy of lanterns or bunting. We have decorated the outside space too, for ceremonies and for guests to play our lawn games. Somewhere in the River Mimram you would find a couple of our old croquet balls. Tewinbury is such a beautiful barn make extra special with Fleur de Lace, props, decorations and styling.
Ok so I have only dressed Bassmead a few times, but driving up that driveway you kinda know you’re heading somewhere special. The lawn is a perfect spot for our lawn games, spilling over to the lawn paths. The crooked barn is such a lovely space to create something personal and unique for your ceremony. The main barn is great with high ceilings and contemporary fixtures, lights and lanterns look fab in there. The bar and social spaces ooze character so adding a bit of ‘you’ in the styling works perfectly.

Beaumont Hall with Tipis from Natural Tent Company… think festival flags, festoon lighting, outdoor games, table dressing, foliage up the beams, table plans, tin baths of booze (I don’t supply booze!) oodles of fun… Beaumont Hall is a simply lovely venue that is hugely accessible for Fleur de Lace to Style and Decorate. We always enjoy a visit to Sunny St Albans!
Knebworth Barns… We have styled all three barns, in different styles. The large spacey ceilings of the Manor and Lodge Barns are fab for ceiling rigs of lanterns and decor. Whilst the Cobbold is more contemporary and lower ceilinged, it is still a fabulous space where ceiling decor is still doable. We have dressed tables in different areas of the venue and really can add some special touches to your fabulous day.
We have been to many more great venues in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, London, Essex and sometimes beyond these areas. If you don’t see your wedding on the above list, we may have been there before… or we are happy to visit new places too.
